Is this my all-time favorite book? Not really. But I did truly enjoy reading this book on a few different levels. Eat, Pray, Love is a memoir of one woman’s travels- physically, emotionally and spiritually. Through her “travels” she heals herself. It was fascinating to see this Gilbert’s courage to drop everything to do that. The other part of the book that I loved was a glimpse into the cultures of Italy, India and Indonesia. Plus- Gilbert is witty and intelligent making her prose all that more interesting to read.
